Whoo and Hoo! Publishing via Word 2007 to the New Google Blogger

 

Alright! There was a bit of a services burp but now things are back to normal and I can publish via Word 2007 to my Blogger-managed account again. I had switched to the new Blogger (hoping for some snazzy layout magic – except that seems to be reserved for BlogSpot blogs and not FTP blogs) and for a bit the new Word didn't work well registering that account.

Fortunately the issue was looked into on both sides of the equation and it all is working. Just in time for our one-week old release.

So, if you have Word 2007, give it a try! For quick blogging, especially linking to something, I still enjoy Windows Live Writer, but WLW doesn't have grammar check and it doesn't have the new blue line, and I need all the language help I can get.

Can you get Windows Live Writer to work with the New Blogger? Doesn't seem to work for me.

Yes, though you need to have the most recent bits. Looking over their changelog, WLW had to update a couple of times to match changes in the new Google Blogger back-end.

Have you managed to setup image publishing using Word 2007 to blogger? How?

I tried but Word 2007 doesnt have any option to say "Say my own blog provider".

No, I haven't tried image publishing yet. If I do, and I'm successful, I'll follow-up in a new post.

I have tried blogging with pictures in Word 2007. My experience is found at www.xlrocks.com
